They claimed that the county and city of San Diego was negligent in the day leading up to the crash as the San Diego County Psychiatric Emergency Response Team responded to a call claiming Trevor was “screaming, paranoid, and delusional." Trevor received a lot of backlash and condemnation after the news of his death in comments on various social media sites and on news sites, mostly due to the fact of Trevor also killing a mother (Aileen Pizarro †) and her daughter (Aryana Pizarro †) in his suicide. In addition, Trevor was also linked to an incident at Ashley Falls Elementary School in Carmel Valley before the crash, in which several students said that he drove the car through a fence after which he got out of the car and broke a window at the school though no classes were in session. His parents claimed five days before the accident that Trevor said he was having a meltdown. Trevor is said to have died due to blunt force trauma and the crash was ruled accidental. His initial autopsy showed that Trevor did not attempt to swerve before hitting the SUV, and toxicology tests did not detect any alcohol or common drugs in his system. 8 others were injured and 8 other vehicles were in the crash. The occupants of the other vehicle, a 43-year-old mother and her 12-year-old daughter also died in the crash. Trevor drove on the wrong side of the highway, going 100 miles per hour in his 2015 McLaren 650S, and collided head-on with a 2010 Hyundai SUV. Trevor had once shared that he and Leafy used to make videos together back in 20 when Trevor claimed they were "True friends" back then.
